From a small wheat mill in the interior of Pinto Bandeira, to the construction of a modern world-class industrial park with a wheat mill, pastry, biscuit factory and cake mixes and bakery, the history of the Orchid is marked by a succession of determining facts that resulted in the great company that it is today.
Certified with FSSC 22000 and working with the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) program, the company seeks to standardize its processes to ensure quality and food safety of its products and also the safety at work of its employees. Thus, it became a supplier to large national and multinational companies.
Today, Tondo S/A has one of the largest wheat milling capacities in the southern region of Brazil: 36 thousand tons per month. With a modern pastry shop, it consolidated the Orquídea brand between retailers and the end consumer, with the capacity to produce 6,500 tons of pasta per month. The modern biscuit factory produces 1,800 tons of biscuits per month, including sweet and savory biscuits, wafers, stuffed, assorted and cookies. With over 33 thousand square meters built, it includes the plants in Bento Gonçalves and Caxias do Sul, Distribution Centers in Garibaldi (RS), Tijucas (SC), Curitiba (PR) and São Paulo.
Traditional and special flours, such as those for pastries, pizzas and confectionery, as well as mixtures for breads and cakes, pastas of the most varied types, pasta for lasagna, grated cheese, savory cookies and sweets. Always looking to adapt to new times, Orquídea uses new forms of communication, opening channels for exchanging experiences with its consumers
